有时清醒的时刻拼命的想找些麻醉自己的处方，被麻醉了，却拼命有了清醒的理由，真实生活，我们经历多少明明是清醒的自我麻醉呢? 这个故事因为一场罕见的麻醉并发恶性高热症夺走了病患的性命，负责麻醉的萧政勋医师在各方压力下被迫停职接受调查，直到保险员叶建徳介入，两人发现情况并不单纯，查访后果然查出医院有计划的卸责，就在真相即将浮现时，和手术相关的人却接连出事，萧医师还莫名成为一起凶杀案的疑凶……。 他们正常生活，正常工作，却发生这一连串不正常事件，那些不为人知的过去，是潜藏在心中不愿提起的秘密…而自认为清醒的自己，又何时能从昏迷中醒过来……。
